Missy & Ricky’s Chatham Station Wedding in Cary, NC

Missy and Ricky tied the knot on a beautiful late spring evening at Chatham Station in Cary, NC.  What an amazing wedding venue they chose!  Chatham station has tons of natural light and whitewashed brick which makes for great photos.  The layout, design, florals and the overall timeline were incredibly well thought out by Sweet SaraBelle Weddings & Events.

Our newest favorite wedding photographer, Megan Kearns Photography, had a connection with this couple that was obvious.  You’re going to love her work in the gallery below. Missy and Ricky have been together for over ten years and it showed on their wedding day.  They shared their heartfelt love for each other throughout the evening. They danced together a lot and enjoyed each other the whole each other’s company throughout the evening.

Missy’s father’s speech was really emotional, and even though it took him a couple of tear filled pauses to get through it, he truly conveyed how much he loved both Missy and Ricky. After the meal was over, Missy and Ricky’s friends and family rushed the dance floor and kept DJ Evan busy with tons of great requests all night. Everyone had a blast on the dance floor!  Finally, as the night came to an end, Missy and Ricky had one of the best popper exits (cool photo alert) we have ever seen!

Thank you for trusting us with your spectacular wedding day. Congrats again Missy & Ricky!

Megan & Brian’s Downtown Raleigh Wedding at Market Hall in Raleigh, NC

Megan & Brian were married on an early summer Saturday at Market Hall in the heart of Raleigh in an area known as City Market.  All Around Raleigh DJ not only provided the party but also the uplighting around Market Hall’s gorgeous and rustic interior walls.  You’re going to love the photos by our friend Sarah Lowder Photography and the video by one of our other favorite wedding vendors Jon Warlick Media.  Nicole and the team with Premier Party Planners were amazing to work with as always and put together an amazing vendor team as well as an amazing wedding for Megan & Brian!

It was looking a little iffy but the storms held out so the couple could have a perfectly beautiful ceremony on the downtown cobblestone street outside Market View!

This wedding was a little unique because Brian and a bunch of their friends were DJs too. The party portion of the evening started around 8:30 pm and the only time the dance floor wasn’t hopping was for a crazy bouquet toss into the decorative canopy!  We promptly had a re-run which kicked off a room full of screams! Brian & Megan provided us with a few songs for the evening but they said “we just want everyone to have a blast”!  The requests piled in from a room full of DJ’s and members of bands! The crowd was very connected to what they wanted to hear, and they were ALL IN… ALL NIGHT LONG!

Congratulations to you Megan & Brian and cheers to many years of happiness!

HERE is Megan’s review of our service:

“Jim from All Around Raleigh was the best DJ!! We were married on June 1st at Market Hall and thanks to Jim, it was a party. I come from a family of DJ’s and musicians and everyone made sure to go out of their way to tell me how great the DJ was. Flawless transitions and kept our guests on their feet all night. He also had a perfect announcer voice and helped to make sure everything was running smoothly and on time. We added the ceremony package and the uplighting package to our day. Best decisions ever!! Our wedding was outside in downtown Raleigh and all of our guests could hear the ceremony even from the back. This was very important to me. The uplighting made for the perfect atmosphere inside the reception. Thank you Jim (and Eric) for everything!! I will be recommending Eric and his company to anyone who needs a DJ!” – Megan

Ashley & Adam’s Wedding at Market Hall in Raleigh, NC

Ashley & Adam’s Wedding by Morgan Caddell Photography

Ashley & Adam are two of the most fun clients that we’ve ever gotten to DJ for!  They are very good with friends with some of our favorite wedding coordinators with C&D Events which is always a little extra special.

We welcomed the bride and groom into the reception after the cocktail hour and moved quickly into shortened versions of the first dance, Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances.  Adam & Ashley made it a priority to accentuate dancing and fun at their reception so having those dances right away helped us move quickly after dinner by the amazing Catering Works

The toasts by the Best Man and Maid of Honor were fun and very touching and you’ll love the photos below by Morgan Caddell Photography.  We got Ashely & Adam and their guests up and dancing for a solid 2 1/2 hours which is exactly what they hoped for!

Here’s to dancing into a happy future to Ashley & Adam!

Karen & Dean’s Wedding at Duke Gardens in Durham, NC

Karen + Dean Duke Garden Wedding by L'amour Foto

Karen + Dean Duke Garden Wedding by L’amour Foto

We were so incredibly lucky to be a part of Karen & Dean’s wedding! Our friend Emily with Events by Emily connected us and we are proud to work with her and her clients. Dean & Karen were married at Sarah P. Duke Gardens on a beautiful early Fall surrounded by their friends and family. This was actually a follow up to their wedding in China a few months back! Karen and Dean are really amazing people and met in grad school while at Duke.

The chose to have a live harpist playing as the Mothers, Wedding Party, and the Bride and her Father came down the aisle with us providing microphones so the harp and the vows were nice and clear for everyone to hear. Immediately after the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a perfect cocktail hour which included some of their favorite artists like Bruno Mars.  We brought Karen and Dean into the reception to a roar of applause and had their first dance to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran which they had choreographed together and was amazing!  Dinner was accompanied by some light Jazz music of they choosing and allowed for great conversation between new friends.  They chose to cut the cake to Everything by Michael Buble and which we transitioned into a packed open the dance floor. Everyone had a blast and celebrated the couple to some of Karen & Dean’s favorite music. As their wedding reception came to an end, they chose the song Good Life by One Republic as their last song of the night and we saw these two wonderful people off to start their new life as a married couple. It was an honor to DJ for you Dean & Karen and best wishes!

Caitlin & Joseph’s Amazing Wedding at The Historic Wakefield Barn in Raleigh, NC w/Bat Signal!

We were so incredibly lucky to be a part of Caitlin & Joseph’s wedding at The Historic Wakefield Barn!  These two were from the northeast and really wanted to add some of that style to their classic southern barn wedding so we go to work on a fun timeline and song list well before their wedding date!

Joseph is a huge Batman fan so Caitlin approached us before the wedding and asked if we could do a bat signal and of course we jumped on the idea!  We used a Chauvet Eve 50 spotlight with a custom glass gobo to project a nice big and bright bat signal above their sweetheart table.  The best part was that it was a complete surprise to Joseph and he didn’t know until we lit up the sky during their grand entrance.  It was a lot of fun to pull off for them!

Caitlin & Joseph really wanted to maximize the dancing on their wedding day so we started early, before dinner even, getting the dance floor packed and making it a little more hype than typical.  We got everyone up and dancing with them immediately after their first dance and then after salads were passed and yet again after the Mother/Son dance.  We had a crazy, insane and packed dance floor all night.  The bride and groom ended the night with a private last dance after all of their guests left to prepare for the grand exit.  It was very, very sweet!

The beautiful photos below are from Southern Love Studios and the video is from Morgan Scott Films who are two of the very best wedding vendors that you could hope to work with or have at your wedding.

Caitlin & Joseph made it a lot of fun for us and their guests.

Congratulations and best wishes you too!

Katie was kind of enough to share her review of our DJ service with the world and that is also below (thanks Katie!).  Their wedding was a true celebration with their family and friends from all over the country.  We met this couple as a referral from one of our past clients so we also got to catch up with them a few years after their own wedding.  Enjoy the photos of this perfect night and congratulations Katie & Jon!

“I know their slogan is “you’re gonna need a bigger dance floor” and I get it, it’s catchy….but it is SO TRUE. Eric was our DJ for the evening and our dance floor was overflowing the whole night. To start from the beginning, he provided a lapel mic for our officiant and handheld mic for our reader during our ceremony. He also played light music in the background for cocktail hour and during dinner…these were in two separate spaces and he had the appropriate equipment to set up for both. He was phenomenal as an MC for Jon and I, as well as for the toasts and during the reception. Now to the good stuff…we literally couldn’t have kept people off the dance floor even if we wanted to. We were a bit worried as our reception was scheduled to run until 11:30 and neither of us are huge party-ers, so we got the creeping thoughts of “oh no, will people even want to stay that late?” came to mind but that was NOT the case with Eric. He had a helpful planning process, and had lots of ideas when we didn’t have a ton of “we absolutely havveeeee to play this” songs…he did what a true professional does and read the crowd, and did a dang good job of it too. While a little pricier than some other local DJs, it was worth every penny!” – Katie
